Roberto Arranz - M.S.

Roberto graduated in 2002 from the College of Civil Engineering at the Universidad de Cantabria in Spain. Since then he has worked as a junior engineer for a construction company in the Canary Islands and as a hydraulic engineer for an engineering firm in the Basque Country (Spain). Obtained his MS in Water Resources Planning and Management at CSU. He is interested in water resources planning and management for international development.

Elgaali A. Elgaali - Ph.D.

Elgaali holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Colorado State University, and Bachelors and Masters degrees in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. His current research focuses on modeling the climate change impact (global warming) on water resources using Neural Networks and GIS.

Daniel Gillham - M.S.

Daniel has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. He currently works for Helton and Williamsen P.C. in Colorado.

Mohammed B. Lahkim - Ph.D.

Mohammed holds Masters degrees in Environmental Engineering and Hydraulics. He is currently completing a Masters in GIS and Remote Sensing and a Ph.D. in Groundwater and Environmental Engineering. His current research focuses on developing a methodology for modeling exposure to groundwater contaminants. Dr. Lahkim is now working in the United Arab Emirates.

Bob Lange- M.S.

Bob has a Bachelors degree in Technical Journalism and Physical Science and a Masters degree in Watershed Science. Bob's research interest is in the water quality and quantity impacts from prescribed forest fires. Bob works for the Forest Service in Wyoming.

Dr. Henry B. Manguerra - Agricultural Engineering Researcher

Henry finished his Ph.D. in Chemical and Bioresource Engineering. He holds a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos; a Masters in Engineering in Irrigation and Drainage from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand; and a Masters in Civil Engineering (specializing in Groundwater and Environmental Hydrogeology) from Colorado State University. His interests include numerical modeling of flow and chemical transport in surface and subsurface water systems applications for irrigation, drainage, groundwater, and water quality modeling. Dr. Manguerra is now working as an Engineer in Washington D.C.

Dr. Mario Mejia-Navarro - GIS Specialist and Geologist

Mario holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and Environmental Geology, and is a GIS expert with more than 15 years of varied experience. His specialties are in Geotechnical Engineering and Computer Modeling for land use planning decisions based on natural hazards and vulnerability assessment oriented to risk mitigation. He is currently working with the CRDSS project and has been the primary developer for IPDSS. His 17 years of experience in these areas helps in the improvement of human habitat quality, he is a highly motivated team player, exceptional technical worker, and researcher. Dr. Mejia-Navarro now works as a consultant in Denver, Colorado.

Steffen Meyer - Water Resources Engineer

Steffen holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Civil Engineering Hydraulics. Steffen is a registered Professional Engineer with years of consulting engineering experience involving urban and rural hydraulics/ hydrology. Steffen's specialties include spatial information systems applications for engineering fields, DSS development, GIS applications, and database systems. He is researching water resources planning and management issues of wetlands development at the planning level using spatial information and water resources analysis technologies. This work will provide resource managers avenues to evaluate and consider wetland development strategies by simulating the consequences of particular design and construction approaches. Steffen works for the Bureau of Reclamation in Denver.

Troy Monroe - M.S. Civil Engineering

Troy holds a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Idaho and a Masters in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. He is currently working for a consulting firm in Idaho.

Anna Perea - Technical Writer

Anna received a Bachelors degree in Watershed Science from Colorado State University in 1995. She is currently completing a Masters in Technical Communication. Anna is now working at Hach Chemical in Fort Collins.

Dr. Abdalla Shigidi - Ph.D.

Dr. Shigidi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Sudan, Khartoum. He received his Masters and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. Dr. Shigidi's research interests are in the area of computer modeling of ground water and natural resources using GIS and Neural Networks. At the present time, Dr. Shigidi is involved in the development of a number of academic and research programs in areas of ground water and structural engineering.

Cat Shrier - Ph.D.

Cat received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Water Resources Planning and Management from Colorado State University. Cat holds bachelor's degrees in Government (Dartmouth College) and Geology (North Carolina State University). She received her master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Environmental Science and Engineering, with an emphasis in Environmental Management and Policy.
